CHARON-VAX/Industrial for Windows is a VAX system emulator emulating a complete Q-bus based MicroVAX hardware system, with the goal to execute native VAX operating systems and unmodified applications on a Windows host. This product is suitable for applications where a physical Qbus needs to be kept on the target CHARON-VAX due to special hardware connected. The operating system is installed on and the binary application software is transferred to the virtual VAX emulated by CHARON-VAX/Industrial on the Windows host system. The emulator operates at the VAX hardware level and is not constrained to a specific VAX operating system or application type. The binary application code is not modified. CHARON-VAX/Industrial for Windows is designed to replace Q-bus based MicroVAX II, MicroVAX 3000 and MicroVAX 4000 systems with Windows systems.
