Geneva, Switzerland,
15 June 2004 - Stromasys today announced the version 3 of its
VAX emulators CHARON-VAX/XM and CHARON-VAX/XL.
Among the new features introduced
in the current versions 3.0.3 are support
for multiple Ethernet adapters through emulation
of VAX 4000, models 106 and 108, support
for older VMS versions, and the capability
to run on Windows 2003 Server Standard
Edition. The CHARON-VAX emulators
of Stromasys are
hardware abstraction layers which model
and emulate Digital Equipment Corporations
(now HP) legendary VAX computers hardware
on an industry standard host PC. These hardware
emulators run all VAX operating system and
application software previously running
on VAX platforms in their existing binary
form. Together with the modern fast disks
and other peripherals, the VAX replacements
created by CHARON-VAX usually outperform
the original VAX computers.
Stromasys
specializes in preserving its clients
software investments across hardware generations
by migrating and extending software applications
to new platforms, and by its emulator products.
It maintains Representation Offices or Value
Added Resellers in Australia, Bahrain, Canada,
Caribbean, France, Germany, India, Italy, Republic of Korea, Latin America,
Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, Switzerland,
Sweden, Turkey, United Kingdom and United
States.
