VARs of Stromasys resell the company’s
CHARON emulators, i.e. software products
emulating the legendary VAX and PDP-11 family
computers of Digital Equipment Corporation
DEC (now HP). The emulated components are
exact mathematical models of their corresponding
hardware originals. The virtual VAX or virtual
PDP-11 created this way permits the immediate
execution of the binary user application
on modern host systems such as Windows.
This allows the user to replace his old
HW immediately by modern HW, significantly
reducing maintenance cost, and preserving
current investments by keeping the applications
and business processes unmodified, and by
continuing to use the existing staff’s
proven knowledge and skills. In addition,
CHARON enables the user to achieve vendor
independence and to extend his application
on the modern platform while increasing
the application performance significantly.
