Stromasys has
been awarded a major contract by Compaq
Computer Corporation today. Stromasys will upgrade
DECmigrate V1.1a to run on the latest versions
of OpenVMS/Alpha. The development effort
is expected to complete during Q22002.
The DECmigrate utility translates
executable and shareable OpenVMS/VAX images
into functionality equivalent images that
run on OpenVMS/Alpha systems. The upgraded
DECmigrate will be able to translate executable
and shareable OpenVMS/VAX images linked
on OpenVMS/VAX versions up to 7.3 into functionality
equivalent images running on OpenVMS/Alpha
V6.2, V7.2 or V7.3.
The project will allow Compaqs
customers to preserve their SW investments
by moving their applications onto more modern
hardware while achieving significant maintenance
cost savings at the same time.
We are delighted and
feel honoured to add Compaq to our list
of corporate customers, said Dr. Robert
Boers, CEO of Stromasys, Compaqs confidence
