Geneva, Switzerland - Stromasys is pleased
to report a very significant increase of
its CHARON product and services sales in
calendar year 2003. This growth was consistent
in the North America, Europe and Asia Pacific
geographies. The introduction of its second
generation of VAX emulators - aimed at replacing
mainframe class VAX systems - contributed
to doubling the 2002 net emulator revenue,
while the product services revenue increased
fourfold.
The CHARON family of emulator
products are VAX or PDP-11 replacement systems,
running as a software application on industry
standard systems. They present to the VAX
(or PDP-11) software the exact copy of the
emulated hardware system, and will run the
original unmodified operating systems, layered
software and applications.
Dr. Robert Boers, the CEO
of Stromasys, said:
"The year over year growth of our emulator
products shows that we satisfy a growing
market need. We plan to launch in 2004 additional
VAX and other system emulators to help our
customers to preserve their software investments.
We are confident that the continuous expansion
of our reseller network will also contribute
to further growth of our emulator sales".
Stromasys
introduced the first ever commercial VAX
emulator in September 2000. The company
specializes in preserving its clients' software
investments by migrating and extending software
applications to new platforms, and emulating
complete legacy computer systems. It maintains
Representation Offices or Value Added Resellers
in Australia, Bahrain, Belgium, Canada,
Caribbean, France, Germany, India, Italy, Republic of Korea, Latin America,
Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland,
Turkey, United Kingdom and United States.
