CHARON-VAX with 800 Simultaneous Interactive Users

Geneva, Switzerland - Stromasys is pleased to announce the delivery and formal acceptance of a VAX 7620 system replacement with the CHARON-VAX/XL Plus emulator. The system is operational since the beginning of June 2003. It supports around 800 simultaneous interactive users plus heavy parallel and over-night batch workload. The customer, Thales Nederlands B.V., uses the system for a database application for spare parts storage accounting.

The initial tests had completed already during May. The performance measurements showed significant gains over the VAX 7620 in both, batch and interactive processing. Detailed information about the case can be found here.
